9 8 Events Amy Goodman of Democracy Now to make a Keynote Address on Monday There will be many events at INPUT 2018, but the center of attention, as with every INPUT, will be the screening of public television programs from around the world. INPUT 2018 will have private use of the Williamsburg Cinemas. Plans are to pitch a tent outside to house a delegate lounge. The Opening Reception will be at Weylin, a spacious former savings bank with majestic domes converted into an event venue located in the Williamsburg District of Brooklyn, in the late afternoon on Monday, April 30, 2018. Amy Goodman of Democracy Now will make a keynote address. Government officials will welcome the delegates to Brooklyn, New York, and the United States. There will be live music. Food and drink will be served. The Opening Plenary will take place at the Williamsburg Cinemas on Tuesday morning, May 1, 2018. Judy Tam, the president of INPUT, will welcome everyone to Brooklyn, and the screenings will begin. This INPUT will continue the tradition of having a great Midweek Party. The Atomic Funk Project, with 14 musicians, will engage and entertain those who choose to attend. Food and drink will be served. Closing Plenary: The Closing Plenary will take place in the late afternoon on Friday, May 4, 2018. Lunch Panels: Lunch panels will take place at the Williamsburg Cinemas and elsewhere, with classic and current topics of relevance to the delegates. Lunches with Commissioning Editors: At a special luncheon on May 2, 2018, on a first- come, first-served basis, INPUT 2018 delegates will have the opportunity to join a table of 10 to talk intimately with a commissioning editor or public television executive from the United States or around the world.
